Boko haram menace grandissante dans la province du lac Tchad

Le chef de l’État tchadien, Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno, avait prévenu avec fermeté : « Nous intensifierons notre combat avec une volonté inébranlable pour anéantir définitivement cette menace terroriste ». Ces propos, tenus sur Facebook, faisaient suite à l’assaut dévastateur lancé la veille par une faction du mouvement jihadiste Boko Haram contre la base militaire de Barka Tolorom, située sur les rives tchadiennes du lac Tchad. L’attaque a coûté la vie à 24 soldats, illustrant une résurgence alarmante de la violence dans cette zone stratégique.
